Ay-up! It's Maisha Kungu here, (They/She). I'm a Queer ND, POC choreographer, performer, and movement researcher of mixed heritage.
I hail from West Yorkshire UK, via lineages of Kenyan and Scottish descent. My work is a distinctive burst of riotous bright colour, kaleidoscopes of joy, sensuality, and texture.
I often work with structured improvisation to unlock identity and freedom of expression generating authentic groove within our body and soul.
Together, let's go search for mischief
*A note on neurodivergence: I love words they are inspiring. I also love clarity, my descriptions and biographies will often be longer and more complicated than usual website biographies. This is part of who I am and the work I create.
